As of August 2, 2017, all campaigns raising funds on Indiegogo, regardless of currency, are able to raise funds exclusively through credit card and PayPal is no longer an available payment option.
- Any funds raised prior to August 2 through PayPal will still be disbursed to your PayPal account per the normal disbursement process.
Why are you making this change?
We’ve received a lot of feedback over the years from our customers about available payment options, and are excited to offer our backers and campaigners a more streamlined, consistent process with one payment processor. This shift has some great added benefits for you, such as: funds disbursed as one lump sum to a bank account, consistent payment processing fees charged to every campaign owner, and better support insights, including into why charges are declined.
How can I setup my campaign to receive funds through credit card?
You can do this on your campaign's funding tab by selecting the credit card radio button. Please make sure to select the correct currency and bank account country before you go live (read more about this here). If you've selected USD with a bank account in the United States, you must have a US bank account to receive your funds. If you raise funds in CAD, you must have a Canadian bank account. If you choose GBP, you must have a bank account in the UK.

When will you be turning off PayPal for currently live and InDemand campaigns that have PayPal enabled?
We removed the PayPal option for all USD campaigns on February 1 (except fiscally sponsored campaigns). Please make sure you've enabled credit card payments to continue your crowdfunding campaign.
We removed the PayPal option for all EUR campaigns on February 28. Please make sure you've enabled credit card payments to continue your crowdfunding campaign.
How will I receive the funds I already raised?
Once we turn off PayPal on your live project, you'll no longer be able to receive new contributions through PayPal. Any contributions already made through PayPal will still be disbursed to your PayPal account as normal. Please make sure to keep your PayPal account in good standing so that you can receive these funds.
Are you planning to make this change for AUD as well?
Yes. Credit cards for AUD was released on August 2. We removed PayPal from all existing campaigns on August 8.
